From request to completion — step by step
Step 01
You Request a Quote
Submit your project — tell us what you need, upload photos, and give us the site address. A survey fee may be required for complex projects (refundable against the final job cost).
Step 02
A Platinum Contractor Visits
We assign one of our highest-rated Platinum-tier tradespeople — vetted, insured, and experienced in larger works. They attend site, assess the full scope, and build a detailed works itinerary.
Step 03
You Review a Stage-by-Stage Quote
We review and approve the contractor's itinerary, add our management fee, and send it to you. Every pound is broken down by stage — no surprises, no hidden costs.
Step 04
Your Payment Goes Into Escrow
Once you accept the quote, your total payment is held securely by Local Traders 2 You. The contractor does not receive a single penny until YOU approve each stage.
Step 05
Stage Complete? You Inspect & Decide
When each stage of works is finished, you receive a sign-off request. If everything looks good — approve it. If there are snags or unfinished items, you raise them with photos and notes before any money moves.
Step 06
Payment Released — Only When You're Happy
Once you sign off a stage, Local Traders 2 You releases that stage's payment to the tradesperson. We manage every release — you are always in control.
Step 07
Final Sign-Off & Guarantee
When all stages are complete and signed off, the project closes. Your work is protected by our guarantee — and you can leave a verified review that helps others make informed decisions.
