How our carbon savings are calculated
Each estimate compares the CO₂ from a local contractor's round trip vs. a non-local contractor's round trip, multiplied by the number of jobs per year and trips per job.
Emission factor: 0.21 kg CO₂/km — from the UK Government's DEFRA Greenhouse Gas Reporting Conversion Factors (2024), for a typical petrol van.
